      John Allan "Jack" McPhail, 84, of St. Marys and formerly of Perth South passed away peacefully at St. Marys Memorial Hospital on Monday, January 23, 2012 following a courageous battle with cancer.

      Beloved husband of Phyllis (Cooke) McPhail. Dear father of Dave McPhail (Suzanne) of Strathroy, Debbie Garlick (Kevin) of London, Mary Lou Watson (Robert Lee) of Strathroy and Murray McPhail (Karen Hernandez) of London. Loving grandfather of Candice, Natasha, Adam, Tyler, Mitchell, Kayla, Kelly, Connor, Arden and Sarah. Lovingly remembered by his nephew Warren Bennewies (Heather) and the Cooke family.

      Predeceased by his parents Archie and Lois (Harper) McPhail and sister Grace (Bennewies) Smitjes.

      Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Nancy Wetselaar officiating. Spring interment in Roy's Cemetery.
