      March 18th 1933 - December 30, 2009

DOUPE: Stan Doupe, beloved husband of Vel for 55 years, father of Scott, his wife Barb, and their children Alyssa, Kristen, Timothy; Glenn; Neil, his wife Jody and their daughter Jacinta; and Malcolm, his wife Deborah and their children Sarah, Alicia and Christopher, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2009.
Stan was predeceased by his mother, Gladys (Hume) Doupe in 1946, father Benjamin Hartwell Doupe in 1966, infant brother Melville John, sister in-law Joyce, brother Ben, sister in-law Audrey and brother Ron. He is survived by his brother Harold, sister Margaret Heise, brother in-law Dave Heise, sister in-law Norleen Doupe, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was born March 18th 1933.
Farming the Crandall family homestead was Stans life and interest from a young man until his passing. He very much enjoyed people, exchanging and telling stories, coffee with friends, curling, hockey and sports. He worked as an Adjustor for Manitoba Crop Insurance for over 20 years and enjoyed traveling to surrounding communities and talking with the other farmers. Stan took an interest in the well-being of the Crandall and Hamiota communities and served on numerous volunteer boards. At the time of his passing he was still active on the Crandall Cemetery Board.
As a family we are blessed and honoured to have shared his life. We will miss his love, friendship, humour and stories. Rest in peace Stan; your loving family.
A service to celebrate Stans life will be held at the Hamiota United Church, Hamiota, Manitoba, on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 2:00 p.m.
